Unemployment reaches 11-year low

It comes as no surprise to us that unemployment has continued to fall within a buoyant labour market. After a further fall of 37k the unemployment level reached 1.6m, the lowest in the last 11 years. The ONS confirmed also the number of people in work has increased by 49k.

In addition, the total number of people in jobs remained at a high of 31.8m.

The figures released today further support our predictions detailed previously, which is largely forecast by the number of companies contacting us to advertise a job for their business, and, the average number of available vacancies for SMEs.
